A Love That Came Unexpectedly
By Bazinga on the Fast Lane | APRIL 2026
Three years after my breakup, I never really thought our story would begin the way it did.
I only knew her through a colleague who casually mentioned about her one day and suggested to connect on Facebook. Out of curiosity, I checked her profile. She seemed interesting, but I didn’t add her right away. Life was busy, and sometimes people you briefly notice online simply remain that—someone you once saw on a screen.
Two years passed before I finally sent the friend request.
When she accepted, I didn’t rush things. At first, it was just simple interactions—liking a post here, leaving a heart reaction on a story there. Small gestures that didn’t seem like much, but I think it was a quiet way of showing that I’m already paying attention.
I wondered if she noticed.
For a while, that was all it was—silent reactions and passing moments online. But eventually, I gathered the courage to send her a message.
The conversation started casually. No expectations, no pressure. Just two people getting to know each other through simple exchanges. Surprisingly, the conversation flowed easily. What I thought would be a short chat turned into longer conversations, shared laughs, and stories about life.
Then came the moment that we finally met.
The first meeting felt natural, almost as if they had already known each other for a long time. One meeting led to another. Coffee dates turned into dinners, and conversations became something they both looked forward to.
Somewhere between those moments, what started as a simple connection grew into something deeper.
Eventually, we both realized that we weren’t just meeting anymore—we were building something together.
Looking back, I realized that love doesn’t always arrive when you expect it. Sometimes it begins with something as simple as a colleague’s introduction, a long-forgotten Facebook profile, or a quiet heart reaction on a story.
And sometimes, the best love stories start when two people least expect them—but are finally ready for them.
